IJIRA & IIE Joint Programmes are:

i) To Promote Entrepreneurship in jute sector and other natural fibres of the Region, training programmes skill development and research studies to be Conducted jointly by IJIRA and IIE.
ii)The areas of research would be decided mutually by IJIRA and IIE.

The Main Objectives of the Research would be:
a)To identify the ground realities in terms of resources, infrastructure, supply chain, Production/supply base and entrepreneurial skills in the North Eastern States.
b)To identify present and potential items for marketing including export and
c)To suggest a plan to create database and resource centre at IJIRA and IIE on relevant trade related activities , status and emerging issues.

iii)Project profiles/bankable projects will be developed for guidance of potential entrepreneurs.
iv)Activities proposed to be undertaken under the MOU is Entrepreneurship Development Programme at IIE Campus in Guwahati for providing quality inputs To the entrepreneurs both currently engaged or prospective entrants in the North Eastern Region of the country.
v)The curriculum in the programme shall be designed and implemented by IIE and IJIRA as to meet the standards for such programme.
vi)IIE shall make available use of their facilities including class-rooms,audio-visual aids computer lab, library, administration and secretarial services for successful conduct of the programme.
vii)IIE & IJIRA shall be responsible for successful marketing of the programme and getting sufficient number of interested participants for the course.
